HPNA Committees
Are you interested in getting more involved in our community? HPNA has a wide range of active and seasonal committees that are always seeking new members. Committees are allocated an annual budget to implement improvements for/within the neighborhood. Use the dropdown menu to learn more or to visit the committee webpages. Don’t see the committee you are looking for? Send a request to the Board to form a new committee!

Participate in an annual review of the Association's finances and advise the membership of irregularities and recommendations for best practices.

Help plan neighborhood clean-ups, dumpster days, and beautification, such as the urn plantings.

This committee is now led by the Engagement committee.
Neighbors interest in safety can help facilitate meetings with our KCPD proactive officers every month and respond to neighbor's questions relating to crime, and work on initiatives to reduce crime in Hyde Park. -
The engagement committee focuses on safety and neighborhood connection. The goals include engaging with our neighbors residents, organizations, schools, and businesses and more.

The Troost Coalition is a consensus-driven group of representatives from the neighborhood associations of Beacon Hill, Hyde Park, Longfellow, Manheim Park, and Squier Park. The Coalition works for the mutual benefit of all Troost neighborhoods, as well as administers the Troost Corridor Overlay District.
