Holmes St 2-Way Conversion

Holmes Street between 22nd and 39th streets has been slated for a 2-way conversion project by KCMO Public Works. While discussions started in 2018 initially as a bike lane project, the details have since been adjusted to eliminate the bike lane feature, and the boundary was extended south from 36th Street to 39th Street. Public Works is interested in hearing from affected residents and a representative will be present at our upcoming HPNA General Meeting on May 20th to share information about the latest design. One specific area of feedback that Public Works is interested in hearing from residents is pertaining to parking and if the status quo is preferred (parking only on the east side of Holmes, between Armour and 39th Street) or if parking should be added to the west side of the street. You are encouraged to attend our meeting to learn more and share your thoughts. If you are unable to attend, you can email HPNA here and your feedback will be collated with others and sent to Public Works for their consideration and possible adjustment of project scope.
