Hyde Park Yacht Club
In the late 1970’s, young couples began moving back into the neighborhood. The Hyde Park Yacht Club was born as an informal social group with an ironic name. Every month or so, a neighbor would host a party and invite other urban pioneers. At these gatherings, neighbors frequently shared their home restoration trials and tribulations as well as the challenges dealing with crime in an unrestored neighborhood.
50 years later, the HPNA Social Committee is proud to renew this old community tradition and all residents of Hyde Park are invited to attend!

The next Hyde Park Yacht Club will occur on:
Friday, May 23rd 7pm

Neighborhood Night at Urban
Meet your neighbors for a happy hour at Urban and stay for a presentation from Hyde Park neighbor Brian Wize regarding history of racial discrimination in housing and it’s impact on the Hyde Park area.
This event is FREE, but RSVP is required which includes appetizers and one beverage ticket. Since a very limited number of seats are available, we will be requiring an active 2025 HPNA membership to attend and each person will need to RSVP separately.
Wednesday, June 18th 4-7pm Happy Hour
Presentation by Brian Wize at 6pm
Active HNPA membership required.
